Did everybody knew about San Pedro Calungsod Shrine? Where does the original shrine located? Why does one should visit the Shrine?
The original San Pedro Calungsod shrine is located at Archbishop Residence Compound, 234 D. Jakosalem St., Cebu City, PH 6000 (Contact Number: +63 (32) 255-2170)
The Chapel in the SRP (South Road Properties), Cebu is design and built during the canonization of San Pedro Calungsod. And it was the first structure in the SM Seaside Complex donated by Mr. Henry Sy.
If you are looking for a solemn environment in attending the Mass then visit San Pedro Calungsod Shrine. I assure you that once you enter the Church you can feel His presence. Here, churchgoers wears proper attire for the Mass. A Woman cannot enter the church if she wears mini-skirt or sleeveless. Likewise, if a man wear shorts or sleeveless.
One will kneel down when reaching the altar to receive the host during communion.
When attending the mass notice the choir with a very beautiful voices. ^_^ All will listen attentively to the priest and pay homage to the Lord. Moreover, the Archdiocese of Cebu has indicated that every Saturday a prayer of devotion be said in honor of Saint Pedro Calungsod. And if you wanted to have a confession? On the right side of the Shrine/church a confessional room is located. Once the light is ON meaning the priest is already waiting for someone to have a confession.
Confession in San Pedro Calungsod Shrine is done before Saturday Mass around 5:45 pm until 6:00 pm. The following is the schedule of Masses.
